This is the drink you make when the fire's died down and you still have things worth thinking about. Cold brew brings bitterness and depth. Moonshine brings the heat. Vanilla softens the edges. The cream floats on top — don't stir it. Drink through the layers. This is what Montana tastes like after midnight.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz moonshine
- 2 oz cold brew concentrate (not regular coffee)
- ½ oz vanilla simple syrup
- 1 oz heavy cream
- Ice
- Coffee beans to garnish
How to Make It
1
Fill a rocks glass with ice.
2
Pour moonshine over the ice, then add cold brew and vanilla syrup. Stir gently.
3
Place a spoon face-down over the drink. Pour cream slowly over the back of the spoon so it floats.
4
Garnish with 3 coffee beans. Do not stir. Drink through the layers.
Pro Tips
- Cold brew concentrate is 2x strength — don't substitute regular cold brew.
- The cream pour technique takes practice. Go slow, spoon close to the surface.
- This drink is intentionally strong. Two hard ingredients. Pace yourself.
